Pairing your Aeroo Smart Controller is quick and simple. Once paired correctly, you will not need to repeat the process unless you reset the controller or change aircraft.
If you are setting up your Smart Controller for the first time, follow the steps below.

Before You Start
Make sure:
- The Smart Controller and drone batteries are charged
- Both devices are running the latest firmware
Step 1: Power On The Smart Controller
Press and hold the power button until the screen turns on and you hear a beep.
If this is your first time using it, connect to WiFi and complete any required updates before continuing.
Select Device -> Enter Device -> Enter Device
This will take you to the drone's interface.
Step 2: Power On the Drone
Open the right-side compartment to find the binding button and the SD card slot. Now is a good time to do so if you haven't already.
Insert the battery and turn the drone on. Wait for the startup sequence to complete.
Remember always to remove your gimbal cover when turning on the Aeroo.
Step 3: Paring Sequence
Smart Controller
First, put the Smart Controller into binding mode by:
Hold the RTH and Payload Release buttons at the same time.
You will know it has worked when the controller's lights start cycling, and you hear a beep.
Drone
Hold the Binding Button on the right side of the drone until the small light next to it starts flashing.
Paired
You will know the Smart Controller and Aeroo Pro are paired when the video feed starts transmitting, and the light stops flashing.
Common Pairing Issues
If your controller does not connect, check the following:
- Confirm that the drone and controller are the same WaveSync version.
- Ensure both devices are running the latest firmware
- Restart both the drone and the controller
If you are unsure which WaveSync version you have, check the label inside the battery bay or on the back of your remote.
WaveSync 1.0 = No Label
WaveSync 2.0 = Label
