FAQ
How much flight time do I get from one battery?
You can expect up to 45 minutes of flight time per battery in ideal conditions. This includes flying out, dropping your bait, and safely returning to your take-off point.
Flight time can vary depending on factors such as payload weight, wind strength, flight distance, and general flying conditions.
What is the maximum range?
The Aeroo Pro has a maximum transmission range of up to 10 km in ideal, open conditions with minimal interference.
This can vary due to environmental conditions, signal interference, payload weight, and local flight regulations.

What wind speeds can it handle?
The Aeroo Pro is designed to fly in wind speeds of up to around 50 km/h in ideal conditions.
This makes it suitable for typical coastal and beach fishing conditions, although flight performance will still vary depending on payload weight and gust strength.

How fast does it fly?
The Aeroo Pro has a top speed of up to 62 km/h in ideal conditions.
This allows it to cover distance quickly and maintain stable flight in windy coastal environments.
Actual speed will vary depending on factors such as payload weight, wind strength, and flight mode.

What payload can it carry?
The Aeroo Pro can safely carry and drop up to 1kg of payload, such as bait and fishing rigs, using its built-in release system.
This capacity is designed to suit most drone fishing setups while still maintaining stable flight and good battery performance.
How easy is the drone to fly for beginners?
The Aeroo Pro is designed to be very beginner friendly, especially if you have never flown a drone before.
Features like GPS hover, one-tap take-off and return-to-home, and step-by-step app prompts help make flying simple and reduce mistakes.
In simple terms, most new users can learn the basics and fly confidently within their first few sessions.

Can I fly at night?
Flying at night is generally not recommended and may be restricted by local drone regulations.
For safety and visibility, it is best to fly during daylight or clear low-light conditions, where you can maintain visual line of sight and better control of the drone.
What camera quality does the Aeroo Pro shoot in?
The Aeroo Pro records 4K Ultra HD video and captures 12MP photos, delivering sharp and detailed footage. It uses a 3-axis stabilised gimbal camera, which helps keep videos smooth and clear while flying.
It also provides a 2.7K live video feed and up to 6x digital zoom for scouting or positioning bait drops.

Is the Aeroo Pro waterproof?
The Aeroo Pro is not waterproof and should never be submerged or flown in moderate or heavy rain.
It is built with a weather resistant design that allows it to handle light sea spray, mist, and normal beach fishing conditions when operated correctly.
However, flying in wet weather is not recommended as moisture can affect the drone's electronics, sensors, and overall flight safety.
The drone is specifically engineered for coastal use. Its weather resistant frame and corrosion protected internal components help it withstand regular exposure to salt air and sea spray, making it well suited for beach and shoreline drone fishing when used in appropriate conditions.

What is Return to Home, and how does it work?
Return to Home is a built-in safety feature that automatically brings the drone back to its take-off location.
It can be activated manually by pressing the RTH button, or it will trigger automatically if the signal is lost or the battery becomes low.
The drone will rise to a preset safe altitude, fly back using GPS positioning, then land near the original launch point.
Check out more info HERE
How do I set RTH height?
Turn on the drone and Controller, then open the Aeroo Fly app.
Go to Flight Settings, Return to Home Altitude and adjust the height to suit your surroundings.
Always set the RTH height higher than trees, dunes, cliffs, or structures to ensure a safe automatic return.
What happens if the drone loses signal mid-flight?
If the Aeroo Pro loses connection with the controller, it will automatically activate Return-to-Home.
The drone will ascend to its preset safe height, then fly back to the recorded take-off point and land.
Can I catch my drone instead of landing?
Hand-catching the drone is strongly discouraged and can be dangerous. The spinning propellers can cause serious injury or damage to the drone.
For safety, always land the drone on a clear, stable surface or the Aeroo landing pad. Manual ground landing gives you better control and reduces the risk of accidents.
Automatic landing and Return-to-Home features are designed to help the drone land safely without needing to grab it mid-air.
Does the Aeroo Pro have obstacle avoidance?
No, the Aeroo Pro does not have obstacle avoidance. It uses vision sensors for positioning and stability, but these don't actively detect or avoid obstacles, so pilot awareness is required while flying.
It does include safety features like Auto Return to Home (RTH). If the signal is lost, the battery gets low, or you activate it manually, the drone will automatically return and land at the takeoff point.
For safe operation, always set your RTH altitude high enough to clear trees, cliffs, or powerlines in your area.
Do I need my phone if I have the Smart Controller?
If you are using the Smart Controller, you do not need to connect a phone to fly.
The controller has a built-in screen and flight app already installed, so you can power on and fly without cables or mobile setup.
The Smart Controller has everything built in: a 5.5" HD screen, 64GB of storage, and the full flight interface. No phone or cable required at any point.
Do I need to pair the Smart Controller every time I fly?
No. Once paired, the Smart Controller and Aeroo Pro reconnect automatically each time you power them on. You only need to repeat the pairing if you reset the controller or switch to a different aircraft.
Can I upgrade to the Smart Controller after purchase?
The $299 upgrade option is only available upon checkout in the initial purchase of a kit, and is not valid if you choose to upgrade later on.
Standalone price is $599
What accessories do I need for the Smart Controller?
No additional accessories are required to use the Smart Controller, it is ready to fly on its own with the built-in screen and controls.
However, useful optional accessories include a USB-C fast charger for quicker charging, and the Aeroo Lanyard or Anti-Glare Screen Protector.
Can I use both my standard and smart controller at the same time?
No, only one controller can be paired at a time.
Can I pair a WS2 Smart Controller with a WS1 drone?
No. The controller and drone must be the same WaveSync version to pair successfully.
What's the difference between WaveSync 1.0 and 2.0?
WaveSync 1.0 remotes have no label on the back. If the back of your remote is blank, you have WS1.
The controller and drone must be the same WaveSync version to pair successfully. A WS2 Smart Controller cannot be paired with a WS1 drone.
What mobile devices are compatible?
The Aeroo Fly app is available on iOS and Android, providing GPS navigation, HD video, and flight controls.
Disclaimer: We have recently been made aware that certain models (particularly the A-Series) are incompatible.
How do I safely store batteries between uses?
Store your drone batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat.
For best battery health, keep them partially charged (around 40 to 60%) if they will not be used for an extended period. Avoid storing batteries fully charged or completely flat.
Always disconnect batteries from the charger and drone after use.
What is Aeroo Protect, and is it worth it?
Aeroo Protect is an optional protection plan that gives you low-cost replacement support if your drone is accidentally damaged, water damaged, or lost in flight.
It can include benefits such as one discounted replacement drone, discounted repair access while the plan is active, and an extended warranty period on replacement units.
In simple terms, it provides extra coverage beyond the standard warranty, helping reduce unexpected repair or replacement costs.
It can be worthwhile if you fly often, fish in tougher coastal conditions, or want added peace of mind and predictable replacement costs if an accident happens.
What does the standard warranty cover?
The standard Aeroo warranty covers manufacturing faults or performance failures that occur under normal use and proper care.
This includes issues with key components such as the drone electronics, motors, camera, gimbal, and flight systems where the problem is not caused by user damage.
Damage caused by crashes, water exposure, misuse, or flying outside recommended conditions is generally not covered, unless you have additional protection such as Aeroo Protect.
What do I do if my drone is damaged?
If your drone is damaged, stop flying it immediately and head to the support section on our website.
